We’ve had a big year at Bizzdesign where we’ve significantly impacted the Enterprise Architecture industry. Together with our customers, we’ve facilitated transformation journeys that have propelled significant growth and innovation – not only for our customers but also for us.

An important part of our growth strategy is to scale up by acquiring companies with complementary functionality and technology, to complement our organic profitable growth. We don’t just buy revenue; companies must have a strategic fit with Bizzdesign.

We started to fill in on our M&A strategy by acquiring  UK-based Edifit, incorporating its product range and G-Cloud certification into our product roadmap to drive further innovation and enhance customer success. G-Cloud supports UK government departments in adopting cloud services, aligning with the government’s cloud-first policy and providing a streamlined process for procuring cloud services.

Throughout the year, we’ve also refined our collaborations with key partners, including industry giants like Amazon Web Services, ServiceNow, and others like Ellucian, Aquion-Australia, and ATD, to enhance our service delivery and customer outcomes.

Product innovation: Accelerating the Bizzdesign Horizzon roadmap

Bizzdesign’s product roadmap is the cornerstone of our innovation, charting a strategic course for delivering solutions that meet and anticipate the evolving needs of our customers and the market. We’ve doubled our investments in our product roadmap, significantly enhancing our UI/UX and AI capabilities.

By integrating advanced AI functionalities and solidifying our API proposition, we’re at the forefront of driving digital transformation with intelligent insights. Additionally, the appointment of our new Heads of Technology and User Experience (UX) steer us towards pioneering innovation.

Bizzdesign Connect, our annual user conference, was launched for the 1st time in 3 regions of EMEA, North America, and APAC this year. For over a decade, it has been a partner in Bizzdesign’s global partner and channel network. During this time, it has consistently delivered high-impact business value to Bizzdesign customers with a proven software suite and expert consulting services.

Access to industry-leading consulting expertise

Therefore, the acquisition is mainly to further expand our capacity with Edifit’s expertise. They bring top-tier enterprise architecture consulting and training capabilities to the table, known for consistently delivering significant business outcomes of high value. By acquiring Edifit, Bizzdesign is expanding our consulting and training capacity and extending the impact of Edifit’s expertise to a broader range of our customers.

Edifit’s enterprise architecture services capabilities cover various areas, including enterprise architecture strategy and roadmaps, enterprise architecture practice capability evolution, capability-based planning, portfolio planning and management, and solution architecture. Although we’re also offering these services, the acquisition enables us to expand our capacity and, together with Edifit, move quicker and deliver more services on demand.

Edifit has developed add-ins that seamlessly integrate with our platform. These Bizzdesign add-ins, now available to our global customer base, have already demonstrated high demand among our customers because they increase users’ productivity.

The Bizzdesign add-ins automate modeling tasks and help you focus on value creation, not tool administration and configuration. You can now also accelerate the adoption of a model-based approach to strategy and design in your organization.

The Bizzdesign add-ins include:

• Model Governance allows for automated governance of Bizzdesign Horizzon model content. This add-in lets you focus on content and impact with automated, rule-based model compliance and quality checks, approval workflow process automation, and model lifecycle management.
• Model Publication allows automated publishing of high-quality, signature-ready documents and presentations. This add-in incorporates rich styling and branding with ongoing content synchronization. Model Publication enables perfect document design and dynamic embedded analytics, with fully customizable templating and reuse.
• Model Exchange manages models across multiple Bizzdesign Horizzon environments, including model versioning, replication and intelligent merging. This meets the needs of the most demanding implementation scenarios involving complex user ecosystems, multiple security levels and information boundaries.

These add-ins are now under the direct support and maintenance of Bizzdesign. You can purchase, deploy and configure these add-ins from Bizzdesign’s regional sales teams.

BiZZdesign Customer South State Bank Wins Enterprise Architecture Award 2016 Latest news from (my website): Bizzdesign

A big congratulations goes out to our customer South State Bank for being chosen as a winner in this year’s Forrester and InfoWorld Enterprise Architecture Awards 2016.

Forrester and InfoWorld set the theme for this year’s awards as ‘Speed and Responsiveness – And EA”. Business leaders are demanding that their business moves faster – everything from updating digital capabilities to bringing more agility in how firms work with customers and suppliers. In theory, enterprise architecture is a key capability for moving faster. But how can EA programs – traditionally policemen of technology – deliver on this potential?

BiZZdesign customer South State Bank took a Kaizen approach to their digital transformation initiative. Using Enterprise Studio, they modeled their current state architecture via a capability model that was easily consumable by the stakeholders. This revealed opportunities for improvements that could be traced back to enterprise strategic goals. Increased visibility into their enterprise portfolio allowed for a significant reduction in obsolete services which freed up resources to focus on the organization’s strategic goals

Jury member David Trice, IS Strategy & Architecture Director, at 2015 winner Centrica, said:

“This is a fascinating example of how EA strengthens IT and Business.  The team applied their knowledge to champion continuous improvement to their landscape and established trust through results.”
While all credit goes to the EA team at South State Bank, we are proud that BiZZdesign’s Enterprise Studio helped South State Bank with their challenge of transforming their business in a rapidly changing market dominated by larger firms.
